I don't remember when I started making jewelry. In elementary school, I was all about the embroidery floss friendship bracelets. Middle and high school: hemp and stone. In college I went back to seed beads. But I found my love when I started working with metal and wire.
In 2010 I took an introduction to wire wrapping class at a studio in Chattanooga, TN. I still wear the pieces I designed during that class. I took the basic principles and started making my own, less traditional, less renaissance-y designs.
There was a theme. Nearly everything I made ended up with some sort of spiral design.
The spiral is a symbol of growth. Moving forward. Change.
Life seems to be constantly about change. Some good, some bad, almost all of it hard. But the results are beautiful.
Spiraling Forward is about creating pieces to take you through the beautiful mess that is life. I hope you enjoy it.
